Born in 1972 in Saudi Arabia's Al-Baha region, Saeed Gamhawi is a pioneering figure in the Kingdom’s artistic landscape. A founding member of the Tasami Center for Visual Arts and a distinguished member of the House of Artists in Jeddah, Qamhawi's journey into the arts began early, nurtured by a deep-seated curiosity and a keen eye for observation.

After graduating from the Institute of Fine Arts in Riyadh in 1990, he embarked on a distinguished career spanning over two decades as an educator in Jeddah's public schools, all the while honing his craft and exploring artistic movements from realism to surrealism.

In 2015, Gamhawi made the bold decision to leave behind his career in education, founding Raseef Studio in Riyadh to fully dedicate himself to his artistic practice. His bold step was met with acclaim, leading to numerous solo exhibitions, including a celebrated showcase at the House of Fine Artists in Jeddah in 1998 and the poignant "A Day" exhibition at the Jeddah Atelier in 2002.His influence extends far beyond the borders of Saudi Arabia, with participation in collective exhibitions spanning continents, from local showcases to prestigious venues like the Louvre Museum in Europe. Notable exhibitions include Noor Al Riyadh in 2020, Misk Art Week in Riyadh in 2019, and Al Obour 21, 39 in 2019 and 2016.
