Meshaal AlZeer Studio

Meshaal Alzeer, born in 1990, is a visual artist hailing from Riyadh. He earned a BA in Fine Arts with a specialization in Visual Arts from the University of Fraser Valley in Canada. His preferred artistic mediums include drawing, painting, installations, and mixed media, through which he delves into themes of memory, joy, safety, and the creation of imagined landscapes and scenes.

During his time in Canada, Alzeer showcased his art across various venues and platforms, collaborated with local artists, led art classes, conducted workshops, and received the Emerging Artist Award in 2017. 

He was an artist-in-residence at the Berlin Art Institute in Fall 2022, as part of their partnership with the Misk Art Institute. Furthermore, in October 2023, he participated in the "Silk Road: Artists' Rendezvous - 12th Workshop for Renowned Arab Artists," hosted in Jingdezhen, China, an event organized by the Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia and the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism. AlZeer’s works have been exhibited and collected both locally and internationally, including by the university from which he graduated and various private collectors and institutions.
